As a casual Behavior Consultant in the IBHS program, you'll work with students with special needs in the community, school, and home settings to address their individualized needs. Job Requirements Have a graduate degree in ABA from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or have an equivalent degree from a foreign college or university that has been evaluated by the Association of International Credential Evaluators, Inc. or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. The Department will accept a general equivalency report from the listed evaluator agencies to verify a foreign degree or its equivalency Must be licensed in this Commonwealth as a psychologist, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, clinical social worker, social worker, behavior specialist, certified registered nurse practitioner Experience working with children with autism and behavior problems required, at least three years’ experience preferred Demonstrated knowledge of behavior principles, evidenced by experience and education Experience writing, implementing, and evaluating positive behavior support plans Most tasks require oral communication, visual and hearing perception, and the ability to get around the classrooms, cafeteria, gym, campus, etc. The ability to keep up with running children and/or to lift, position, or assist with lifting students is essential to perform this task The essential functions of this job described herein require the ability to exert moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, kneeling, crouching and brisk walking, which may involve lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling objects and material of moderate weight (40 pounds) Ability to use the strategies of Comprehensive Crisis Management and Ukeru to physically support students for their safety and the safety of others Current PA Acts 34, 114, and 151 clearances required Behavior Consultant Job Responsibilities Develop IBHS assessments with clients, families, and school staff Develop functional behavior assessments (FBA) on clients Develop individual treatment plans with measurable goals and objectives as well as specific interventions to address needs from results of FBA Develop data collection protocol Trend and analyze data Supervise BHT staff in behavior management procedures Consult with families, school personnel, and other community members about interventions for challenging behaviors of clients Provide clinical documentation of each session with client Develop materials to address clients’ needs Other duties as assigned #J-18808-Ljbffr The Watson Institute
