Physical Therapist - School Setting in San Francisco, CA

Seeking a dedicated and resourceful Physical Therapist to support students in a vibrant, diverse educational community near San Francisco, CA. This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, through June 2, 2027, and offers an engaging, itinerant experience across multiple school sites. With small caseloads at each location and a focus on early childhood through transition-age students, you'll play a vital role in enhancing access to education through skilled intervention and individualized support. Desired Qualifications Valid Physical Therapy license in California (CA PT license required) Prior experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred Able to manage a dynamic, itinerant schedule across a dozen or more sites Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with students, families, and school staff Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment Key Responsibilities Provide direct physical therapy services to a diverse caseload of students (EC through transition age) across the district Conduct assessments, create individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions on-site Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal student outcomes Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and reporting in compliance with district and state regulations Travel to various school locations as needed, adapting services to unique site requirements This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact while enjoying varied day-to-day experiences within a supportive school district.
