Position Summary As a Senior Software Engineer at Collins Aerospace, you will support the development of state‑of‑the‑art flight‑critical embedded software for military and commercial aviation applications. You will be part of the engineering team responsible for the design, development and verification of real‑time embedded software ensuring the safety of war‑fighters and travelers. What You Will Do Support software design, development and verification tasks. Translate customer requirements into software requirements. Coordinate tasks. Review software requirements to ensure compliance with customer needs. Implement software requirements using design models and/or code in the proprietary language. Review software design and code to ensure compliance with software requirements. Generate, run and review test scripts and data to support software verification activities. Generate documents to support aerospace certification. What You Will Learn Develop credibility as a software engineer and gain niche skills in the aerospace industry. Help expand the software engineering team to focus on quality, schedule, process and cost. Support software certifications of military and commercial aircraft, investigate customer issues and troubleshoot deficiencies. Qualifications You Must Have A degree in STEM and a minimum of five years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree and a minimum of three years of experience. Experience developing software architecture in an embedded software environment. Qualifications We Prefer Full life‑cycle software development experience. Experience with DO‑178 (Level A) or similar military standards. Experience managing projects and tasks across functional teams and geographic locations. Experience with software verification testing. Proficiency in C, Assembly and/or Python. Experience using logic analyzers and other lab test equipment. What We Offer Medical, dental and vision insurance.
