Medical Director

Medical DirectorWe are seeking an experienced Medical Director to provide clinical and administrative leadership within a structured, multidisciplinary healthcare environment serving a complex and diverse patient population. This physician leader will oversee medical operations, clinical quality initiatives, provider performance, and care delivery standards while supporting safe, timely, and patient-centered services. The role partners closely with nursing leadership, advanced practice providers, and executive teams to drive operational excellence and clinical outcomes. This opportunity may be structured as interim, interim-to-permanent, or direct hire depending on candidate interest and organizational needs.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide medical oversight and direction for clinical services and care delivery programs.Establish and maintain evidence-based clinical standards and protocols.Promote high-quality, safe, and patient-centered medical care.Address population health needs and social determinants impacting care outcomes.Support strategic planning and execution of clinical program goals.Collaborate with interdisciplinary leadership to improve care coordination and operational efficiency.Monitor clinical performance metrics and implement improvement initiatives.Assist in development and implementation of policies, procedures, and care models.Supervise and mentor physicians and advanced practice providers.Support provider recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives.Serve as supervising/delegating physician as appropriate.Provide clinical education and professional development support.Ensure compliance with federal, state, and professional medical standards.Partner with quality and performance improvement teams to monitor outcomes.Maintain readiness for regulatory and accreditation reviews.Develop internal controls supporting clinical governance and risk mitigation.Act as a clinical liaison between medical staff, leadership, and operational teams.Foster collaborative relationships across disciplines.Participate in leadership committees and organizational initiatives.Communicate clinical priorities and performance outcomes effectively.Minimum QualificationsDoctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO).Completion of an ACGME- or AMA-accredited residency program in an appropriate specialty.Minimum 5 years of leadership or management experience within clinical medicine programs.Experience working with complex or high-acuity patient populations strongly preferred.Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Texas (must obtain within required timeframe).Board eligible or board certified required.Preferred QualificationsExperience leading multidisciplinary healthcare teams.Background in population health or community-based care models.Bilingual Spanish proficiency a plus.Demonstrated success improving clinical quality and operational performance.Ideal Candidate ProfileRespected clinician with strong leadership presence.Collaborative and relationship-driven physician leader.Comfortable operating in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.Skilled at balancing clinical excellence with operational efficiency.Strong communicator capable of influencing across departments.Dallas, TexasEngagement OptionsInterimInterim-to-PermanentDirect HireSubmission Requirements (Internal Recruiting Guidance)Current CV/Resume2 Professional ReferencesSummary of leadership and clinical experienceLocation/home baseCompensation expectations and engagement preference
