Assistant Public Defender - Public Defender

Salary: $70,232.76 annually, plus full benefits package Assistant Public Defender for State Court Full Time This is a Full-Time contract position. This is professional legal work assisting the Public Defender in providing legal defense of indigents in state court and providing the constitutional guarantee of the right to counsel. The incumbent will investigate indigent defendants' cases in preparation for disposition by the court. Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited law school with a Juris Doctor Degree in Law
- Member of the Georgia State Bar
- Must have and maintain a valid United States Driver's License (Class C), a satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) and the ability and willingness to drive a county vehicle; if assigned job duties require the use of a vehicle
- Minimum 18 years of age
