Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough assessments and preliminary interviews to understand client backgrounds, motivations, and mental health histories. \n
- Evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients using evidence-based practices, fostering a safe space for open communication. \n
- Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans that cater to individuals, couples, families, and specific groups, ensuring their unique needs are met. \n
- Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques to engage and support clients effectively. \n
- Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting intervention strategies as needed to optimize outcomes and enhance client well-being. \n
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including mental health specialists and primary care providers, to integrate care and enhance treatment planning. \n
- Provide follow-up support for clients admitted to hospitals, coordinating with psychiatrists and attending physicians to ensure continuity of care. \n
- Identify and mitigate any behaviors or environmental factors that may impede recovery, advocating for client needs and support systems. \n
- Support family members and caregivers in managing challenges associated with mental health, enhancing the overall support network around the client. \n
Our counselors work with a diverse array of clients facing various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and addiction. You will play a vital role in providing culturally competent care, ensuring all individuals feel understood and validated. Through our remote services, you'll have the flexibility to reach clients across the state of California, broadening your impact and enhancing their therapeutic experience.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in California. \n
- Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE). \n
- Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a solid foundation in therapeutic practices. \n
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly with experience in AVATAR or similar platforms. \n
- Knowledge of underlying physical and emotional health conditions, as well as addiction disorders, is essential. \n
- An understanding of the best practices set forth by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA). \n
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information in an understandable manner. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a nurturing and empathetic disposition that fosters trust and connection. \n

- Experience working with trauma-informed care approaches and managing clients with dual diagnoses. \n
- Previous involvement in community-based mental health initiatives and outreach programs. \n
- Certification or training in specific therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR) is a plus. \n
The salary range for this position is competitive, offering between USD 80,000 and 100,000 annually, with the added incentive of a sign-on bonus.
