Registered NurseRockville, Maryland Pay From: $45.00 per hourMUST:Experienced Registered NurseMust have an active and good standing Maryland Registered Nurse licenseMust have Pediatric Urgent Care and/or ER experienceMust have an active CPRExperience with IV insertion is highly preferredDUTIES:Registered Nurse will be responsible for, but not limited to the following:Assessing patients and identifying actual and potential patient care needsEvaluating the patient/family response to the treatment and modifying care accordinglyCompleting accurate, concise documentation in the patient's chart in a timely manner while patient is in the departmentObtaining accurate weight of patients in kilograms and documenting in the chart appropriatelyCollecting and documenting patient vital signs, as well as pertinent medical information, and promptly relaying out-of-range values to the providerAssisting the providers with patient care and performing procedures as ordered (i.e. – Phlebotomy, specimen collection, splints, patient positioning for procedures)Administering, ordering, and documenting medications and appropriately using the 5 rights of medication (patient, drug, dose, route, and time)Obtaining lab samples using safe standard procedures and accurately documenting completion of procedurePerforming IV insertions, fluid management, administer IM, IV, SubQ, and nebulized medications using safe standard procedures and accurately documenting completion and charges for proceduresCounting and documenting medication countsDispensing durable medical equipment (DME), obtaining appropriate paperwork, and documenting accordinglyDispensing nebulizers after obtaining proper paperwork and instructing patients/parents on proper useAssisting and supporting other clinical staff when needed (i.e. laundry, lab tests, supply forms)Quadrant is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
