Data Processing Assistant

Careerscape is recruiting on behalf of our client for a Remote Data Processing Assistant to join their back-office operations team. Day to day, you will spend your time entering, verifying, and organizing data across internal systems, spreadsheets, and databases, catching discrepancies before they become problems. People who thrive in this role are patient, methodical, comfortable with repetitive digital tasks, and take pride in getting the small details right, even when no one is watching.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update records accurately across internal databases and spreadsheets
• Review incoming documents and files for completeness and accuracy
• Identify and correct data discrepancies or duplicate entries
• Organize and maintain digital filing systems for easy retrieval
• Process routine back-office transactions within established timelines
• Generate basic reports and summaries from processed data
• Respond to internal requests for data pulls or corrections
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive company and customer information
• Follow standard operating procedures for data quality checks
• Communicate status updates and flag issues to the supervising team

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Prior data entry or administrative experience is a plus but not required
• Strong typing speed and accuracy
• Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and general office software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Reliable internet connection and a quiet home workspace
• Good written communication skills
• Ability to manage repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy
