About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Engineering to lead the creation, development, and design of the organization's engineering services and products. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting the vision and direction of a significant business unit, developing and implementing strategic plans in alignment with corporate strategy, and ensuring the successful implementation of action plans. This role involves overseeing a complete functional area, including planning, staffing, budgeting, and managing expense priorities. The Vice President of Engineering will also be involved in interactions with executives and major customers, and must have the ability to obtain security clearance if needed. Candidates for the Vice President of Engineering position at the company should have a minimum of 15 years' related experience with a Bachelor's degree, 13 years with a Master's degree, or a Ph.D. with at least 10 years' experience. Essential skills and abilities include the capacity to perform the job functions, maintain sensitive and confidential information, and communicate effectively. The role requires a high level of proficiency in computer skills, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a willingness to learn and utilize company technology for required purposes. The Vice President of Engineering will manage a team of directors and high-level individual contributors, primarily through a team of second-level managers, and will report to a senior VP, global corporate functional leader, or a corporate C-level executive.
