Registered Veterinary Technician (overnight shift) - Emergency Pet Clinic of Longmont

PetVet Care Centers' Emergency Pet Clinic of Longmont is looking for a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Registered Veterinary Technician (overnight shifts) to join our 24/7 emergency team! Sign-on bonus opportunity available up to $3,000 based on candidate experience and joining full-time or part-time. Position Overview Join our team as an Overnight Registered Veterinary Technician who supports hospital operations by providing dedicated quality veterinary care and exceptional service to our patients and clients. Responsibilities include providing patient care by determining animal requirements, conducting examinations and diagnostic procedures, assisting during surgery and operations, providing nursing care, assisting with feeding, maintaining medical supplies and equipment, overseeing triage and discharging patients, and maintaining patient medical records. Key Responsibilities Provide hands‑on emergency care including triage, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, anesthesia monitoring, and more. Assist veterinarians in critical cases and surgical procedures. Monitor hospitalized patients with attention to detail and compassion. Communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans and patient updates. Support a collaborative team environment while maintaining the highest standard of patient care. Qualifications (Required) Must be a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). Prior emergency or specialty experience strongly preferred. Comfortable in high‑pressure situations with excellent problem‑solving skills. Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) Displays a desire to build rapport, provide personal assistance, and emotional support. Works cooperatively with the team to address tasks and accomplish goals. Demonstrates responsibility in completing tasks and accomplishing goals. Proactively looks for the opportunity to address and follow through on work activities. Adapts quickly to changing demands and manages multiple priorities effectively. Uses effective and appropriate methods of interacting with others. Displays a desire to provide outstanding service and exceed customer expectations. Monitors and reviews information thoroughly and maintains an organized system for all documents. Consistently follows standard procedures. Schedule Rotating shifts – overnight, weekends, and holidays. Shift differential pay available.
