About the Position

Job Title: RN - OR Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years in acute care hospital setting License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS, ACLS Description: Travel opportunity for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. Work schedule is from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The unit features 8 operating rooms. There are approximately 25 staff members on this unit. Staff includes Charge RNs, RNs, CSTs, and Anesthesia providers. The hours of operation are 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. The unit promotes a supportive environment with excellent service line leaders. Patients are typically assigned at a 1:1 ratio. Equipped with various types of instruments, including Belmont rapid infusion. The electronic medical record system used is Meditech. Candidates must have at least 1-year current experience in an acute care hospital. Experience in multiple service lines is preferred. Key skills sought include Meditech experience and knowledge of transplant and spine procedures. Typical procedures performed include orthopedic, ENT, urology, spine, general surgery, GYN, endoscopy, plastics, and cardiac surgeries. Teamwork with providers and staff is essential. A 30-minute response time is required for on-call duty. Call duties may vary between first, second, and third call shifts mixed with weekdays and weekends. The last scheduled RNs had 7-8 call shifts over an 8-week period, but this number can vary. This opportunity is ideal for those looking to work in a dynamic team environment focused on patient care.
