About This Role

Peace ChildCare is seeking a reliable and organized Cook to prepare nutritious meals and snacks for children in our care. The ideal candidate enjoys working in a childcare environment and understands the importance of providing healthy, balanced meals that meet licensing guidelines.

Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks daily

Follow state licensing and food safety regulations

Plan menus that meet nutritional requirements for children

Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized kitchen

Monitor food inventory and communicate supply needs

Accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions

Wash dishes and clean kitchen areas after meal preparation

Previous cooking experience preferred (childcare or school setting is a plus)

Knowledge of basic nutrition and food safety practices

Ability to manage time and work independently

Must be dependable and punctual

Ability to pass background check (as required by state licensing)
