Exciting opportunities await paraprofessionals eager to make a difference in the classroom. Several contract positions are available in a supportive school setting close to Canton, MI. Openings include both long-term guest assignments (10–12 weeks) and full-time roles. Candidates may find themselves working with students in specialized Level III classrooms at Hardy Elementary (2 full-time roles) or in a part-time position within the Level III Emotional Impairment classroom at Salem Elementary. Full job details and specific classroom assignments will be discussed during the interview process, allowing candidates to ensure the right fit for their experience and interests.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or a strong interest in supporting student learning
• Ability to collaborate closely with teachers and other staff
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexibility and adaptability in diverse classroom environments
• A genuine passion for working with children, especially those requiring additional support
• Either 60+ college credits or willingness to obtain a para certification if offered a position (you may begin work with certification pending)

In this role, you will:

• Assist lead teachers in planning and implementing daily instructional activities
• Provide one-on-one or small-group academic and behavioral support
• Help create a safe, respectful, and engaging classroom environment
• Foster student independence and confidence
• Support students with daily routines and social-emotional development
• Communicate regularly with the classroom teacher and staff regarding student needs and progress
