First Assist Operating Room Nurse

Location: Massachusetts

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 8-hour days, Monday - Friday

Job Description: The First Assist Operating Room Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in the operating room setting, assisting the surgical team by ensuring the operating room is prepared and sterile, and supporting the surgeon during procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in surgical procedures as a first assist.
• Prepare and maintain the operating room environment.
• Ensure surgical instruments and supplies are ready and sterile.
• Monitor patient vitals during surgery and assist in patient positioning.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and delivery of care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Two years of current first assist operating room experience.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
• Current Massachusetts RN license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Must have a personal vehicle.
