Customer Service Representative

Join us as a Customer Service Representative at Genuine Parts Company We are seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join our team. The role involves accurately fulfilling customer orders and managing incoming calls, under close supervision. Responsibilities Respond to customer inquiries regarding products, provide quotes, and handle order entry via various communication channels. Place customer orders through phone, fax, email, electronic methods, or in person. Negotiate sale and purchase prices within set parameters to influence gross profit. Adjust non-contract pricing to meet customer demands while maximizing profit. Build and maintain customer relationships to encourage repeat business and suggest process improvements. Maintain appropriate inventory levels by ordering products and managing stock from various sources. Handle shipping logistics, including choosing cost-effective methods and expediting backorders. Assist with customer returns and other duties as assigned. Requirements High school diploma or GED; 0-3 years of related experience or equivalent. Reliable, organized, attentive to detail, with strong communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage time effectively. Moderate computer skills, including email, business systems, and internet research. Product knowledge is preferred.
