Business Intelligence Analyst

Pay Range: $53hr - $58hr

Responsibilities:

• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems, processes, and user needs to define BI-centric solutions.
• Document business requirements, define scope, and establish objectives aligned with organizational strategies.
• Translate business needs, processes, and procedures into structured documentation for technical teams.
• Propose and evaluate alternative business and data solutions where appropriate.
• Perform data analysis using SQL and relational database concepts.
• Support business users in leveraging data for decision-making.
• Develop process flows and governance mechanisms for project execution.
• Maintain understanding of organizational structure and business processes to support project delivery.
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA analysts, and cross-functional teams.
• Lead and mentor Business Analysts and guide development teams during implementation.
• Track, document, and communicate project status, risks, and issues.
• Develop BI documentation including report mockups, system specifications, and test plans.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and BI solution enhancements.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate effectively with leadership and teams.
• Support organizational goals and strategic initiatives.
• Maintain continuous learning and professional development.

Required Skills:

• Strong expertise in SQL and data analysis.
• Deep understanding of relational databases, data structures, joins, and normalization.
• Experience with enterprise data warehousing (EDW).
• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and testing (UAT) experience.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Mandatory Experience:

• 8+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in BI, data, or analytics environments.
• 5+ years of experience in the healthcare domain (payer preferred).
• Experience in technology modernization initiatives (legacy to modern platforms).
• Experience working with CRM platforms and CareAxis (or similar tools).
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure data services (Data Factory, Azure SQL, Data Lake, etc.).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with reporting and visualization tools.
• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
• Experience working in cross-functional and Agile environments.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Healthcare, or Business.
