RN - OB (Registered Nurse, Obstetrics)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | 36 hours per week | 12-hour shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during a designated shift, prescribing nursing care consistent with the medical plan of care and informed by patient and family input
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to coordinate and deliver patient care across applicable age groups, including neonatal, infant, child, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations
• Incorporate patient teaching and discharge planning into the overall plan of care
• Delegate aspects of patient care delivery to other nursing staff based on clinical competence and legal scope of practice
• Document and chart patient care accurately within the electronic health record system (EPIC)

Required Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required within 6 months of hire
• EPIC experience within the last 12 months is required; recent Cerner experience is also required
• Each work history entry must identify the charting system used

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Acute care facility experience
• Intermediate and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification (Intermediate required within 6 months of hire; Advanced required within 1 year of hire for Labor & Delivery)
