Travel Physical Therapist Assistant

Make a real difference as a travel Physical Therapist Assistant providing home health services in Fort Mill, SC. You will deliver physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, helping patients recover from injury or illness and improve mobility and function. The position requires documentation of patient status, participation in department in-services, coordination of patient scheduling and adherence to infection control and payer compliance practices.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PTA program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in South Carolina required prior to the start of assignment.
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant, including experience with geriatric patients and home health settings.
• Proof of current CPR/BLS certification required.
• Current driver's license, reliable transportation, and automobile insurance required.
• Ability to perform manual therapeutic exercises and modalities, and to perform documentation accurately and submit clinical paperwork on time.
• Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and stand for prolonged periods as required for patient care.
• Must read, write, and speak fluent English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working under interdisciplinary collaboration and with third-party payor documentation requirements.
• Experience scheduling patients and performing related office tasks in a home health environment.

Assignment Details

• Shift: Days, 5x8 schedule.
• Local travel required. Candidate must be able to travel locally and float as needed.

Impacting Patient Care

The Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant assumes responsibility and accountability for delivery of appropriate physical therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. Essential duties include administering treatment plans, applying non-complex manual and modality interventions, maintaining timely documentation, participating in education and in-services, reporting equipment or supply issues, applying infection control practices, and supporting payer compliance through accurate clinical practices.
