Job Summary and Qualifications The Director of Quality, Regulatory and Data Science reports to the VP of Quality and is responsible for advancing the organization’s quality improvement goals through data analysis, visualization, and the development of reporting and analytics tools. The role actively engages in patient care areas, observes practices, reviews medical records, and collaborates with management, front line staff and medical staff to improve compliance. Responsibilities include leading survey readiness activities, facilitating accreditation, certification and complaint surveys, maintaining licensure, and working with the HCA HealthONE data science team to develop data tools that support clinical excellence. The director also oversees accreditation and certification program initiation and maintenance, ensures adherence to program protocols, collaborates on multidisciplinary care, and conducts root cause analyses and safety initiatives. Position Requirements Licensure/Certification/Registration: Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse or an active multistate Registered Nurse license. Education: Bachelor’s degree. Experience: 3–5 years clinical experience, 2–3 years quality improvement or CQI/ SPC experience, 1–2 years utilizing SQL for data querying. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Familiarity with Joint Commission, Medicare, State requirements, laws and standards; understanding of local fire code and NFPA 101‑2012; extensive computer knowledge and experience with SQL, Python, Power BI and Excel; critical thinking, service excellence, interpersonal communication skills; experience leading RCAs and SEAs; ability to present to small and large groups.
