Location Avera Behavioral Health Center-Sioux Falls Work Shift Rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (United States of America) Pay Range Actual pay rate dependent upon experience. $24.50 - $33.75 Position Highlights This position may be eligible for a Sign On Bonus. Nurses with 3+ years of experience – every 3rd weekend, every other holiday. Avera Behavioral Health Adult C Unit The Avera Behavioral Health Adult C Unit is designed to be a structured, therapeutic environment for adults to learn to understand their diagnosis, develop a Crisis Response Plan, use healthy coping skills, and set and complete goals. Student Loan Repayment This LPN position is eligible for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster. Brief Overview The LPN practices under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice registered nurse, licensed physician, or other health‑care provider. The LPN organizes and directs those aspects of care for which he/she is accountable, communicating and coordinating care with well‑defined nursing diagnoses, including all health team members. What you will do Collect data and conduct a focused nursing assessment of the health status of a patient. Participate with other health‑care providers in the development and modification of the patient‑centered care plan. Implement nursing interventions within the patient‑centered care plan. Assist in the evaluation of responses to interventions. Provide for the maintenance of safe and effective nursing care rendered directly or indirectly. Advocate for the best interest of the patient. Communicate and collaborate with patients and members of the health‑care team. Assist with health counseling and teaching. Delegate and assign nursing interventions to implement the plan of care. Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Board of Nursing. An active license in the state of practice upon hire.
