For more information, visit us at DescriptionJOB DETAILSBase Pay: $27.50Shift: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Monday - Friday), hours may vary depending on operationsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGuide and oversee the production team’s diverse activities, such as operating machinery, managing production lines, processing materials, packaging products, and organizing inventory.Maintain rigorous compliance with safety protocols and uphold the highest quality standards.Understands and follows safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment.Package, crate, or load items to insure safe arrival and capacity loading.Packages parts using various crating and packaging materials (such as metal bands and coverings), to secure and protect parts during shipment. Weigh trucks of items as required.Capable of operating forklifts and other lifting equipment.Responsible for each lift and decides when to check actual vs. maximum allowable trailer load.Constantly checks each load to ensure job completion and expedites work to meet production schedules.Unloads and checks items against freight bills, packing lists, or shipping notices. Makes notations of damages, shortages and other irregularities and notify area leader.Provides on-the-job direction to new shipping/warehouse employees and others assisting in shipping/warehouse tasks.Proficient with completing required computer documents (BOL’s, LTL’s, Load Tickets)Fills in for the Supervisor and ensures the department stays on production.Assist with inventory counts as required.Maintains continuous improvement practices within the work area.May be assigned other projects and duties as assigned.QualificationsEDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSHigh School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Valid Driver LicenseRequired to Drive a ForkliftRequired to use power hand toolsAbility to read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micometer)Experience in Loading manufacturing and/or construction materialsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to lift up to 30 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waistAbility to work in a non-temperature-controlled environmentSome knowledge of a manufacturing environment.Ability to read different measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, protractor, micrometer)QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLSTo perform satisfactorily in this position, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
