Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a 30-bed Cardiovascular ICU with a 1:1–1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Manage and care for post-operative fresh open heart surgery patients; recent experience with this population is required
• Care for mixed ICU patient populations across a range of critical diagnoses
• Operate ventilators and GE telemetry monitoring equipment as part of routine critical care responsibilities
• Participate in self-scheduling within a 6-week advance schedule framework, subject to manager review and approval
• Float to telemetry or med-surg units as needed; must be available to work 2 of the 3 major holidays

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in California
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification required
• Recent, hands-on experience with fresh open heart surgery patients
• Experience with mixed ICU patient populations
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR
• Must be available to work every other weekend
• Telemetry, L&D, Emergency, and Critical Care RNs are required to pass a proctored on-site Dysrhythmia Test on day one — this is a pass/fail exam

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Familiarity with GE telemetry monitoring systems
• Experience working in a high-acuity ICU environment with ventilator-dependent patients
• Comfort operating in a self-scheduling environment with collaborative team coordination
