Schedule

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Weekend and holiday shifts may be required as needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU will provide high-quality patient care to a diverse patient population from adolescent to geriatric. The RN will work in a Level III trauma facility with a nursing ratio of 2 to 1, ensuring the best outcomes for critically ill patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor and support patients' vital signs and hemodynamics.
• Administer intravenous medications and manage IV drips.
• Utilize ventilators and perform hemodynamic monitoring.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans.
• Respond promptly to patient needs and emergencies.
• Float to PCU as needed, maintaining high standards of patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of current ICU experience.
• Current New Hampshire RN license or Compact RN license (must be uploaded).
• Active American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Experience with arterial lines is required.
• Charge and preceptor experience is a plus.
• Must have a reliable vehicle for transportation.
