CDL Field Auditor (Administrative Officer 1) - Bureau of Drivers Licensing

The Bureau of Driver Licensing is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Officer 1, specifically for the role of CDL Field Auditor. The position involves a combination of fieldwork with covert and overt audits of CDL Third-Party Testers and Examiners within the designated geographic area. The role ensures compliance and maintains the integrity of the commercial driver’s license testing process. Description of Work In this position, you will oversee the performance of CDL Third-Party Testers and Examiners within your designated area by using the CSTIMS application to identify trends and perform both covert and overt audits. Your duties include: Tracking audit details for all CDL Third-Party Testers and their examiners, reporting the data to the CDL Third-Party Compliance Manager. Conducting field audits to verify adherence to testing laws, regulations, and contractual obligations. Addressing minor contractual issues directly and documenting them; escalating significant issues to the compliance manager. Preparing comprehensive audit reports, detailing actions taken and offering recommendations. Investigating customer complaints and taking appropriate action. Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment. Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with a 60‑minute lunch. May be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS). Telework: Part‑time telework may be possible if you have a secure high‑speed internet connection and a PA‑approved location. Telework availability may change. On‑site reporting to headquarters in Philadelphia is an option. Salary: Starting salary may be non‑negotiable in some cases. Required Experience, Training & Eligibility Qualifications Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work and a bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of experience and training. Possession of a Class A CDL with N and P endorsements, and with E, L, N, O, and Z restrictions removed. Ability to perform essential job functions.
