Job Description Veolia Water Tech has an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated EHS professional to join our team as the
EPP (Engineering and Procurement Projects) and TP (Technologies and Products) Fixed Facility EHS
Leader. This position is a vital member of an interactive and supportive team responsible for
providing comprehensive EHS leadership, guidance, support, and execution specifically for our fixed
facility operations.
The role requires a seasoned EHS professional with the expertise to identify and implement
compliant, practical, cost-effective, and safe solutions that protect our employees, operations, and
the environment. As the EHS leader for our fixed facilities, you will oversee critical safety aspects of
production and equipment build processes, manage EHS compliance for wastewater treatment and
neutralization systems, and develop essential protocols such as traffic management for facility
operations.
This position demands both technical proficiency and influential leadership capabilities. You will
work closely with operations, engineering, and facility leadership teams to build and sustain a robust
EHS culture throughout our fixed facility operations. Your responsibilities encompass conducting
facility inspections, assisting in hazardous operations reviews, and driving continuous process
improvement initiatives. Through coaching, collaboration, and hands-on engagement with
operations teams, vendors, and customers, you will help create an environment where EHS
excellence, inclusion, and diversity are core values that support both our operational objectives and

Key Responsibilities:
EHS Leadership & Culture
- Influence strong EHS culture across operations, engineering, and facility leadership
- Coach teams to value EHS, inclusion, and diversity
- Embed EHS excellence throughout fixed facilities and support sustainability commitments
Fixed Facility Operations & Safety
- Oversee safe production and equipment build operations
- Manage wastewater treatment, neutralization compliance, and traffic management protocols
- Conduct inspections, hazardous operation reviews, and support operations teams
- Implement High Risk Management standards and LSR (Life Saving Rules)
- Maintain EHS framework and complete Gensuite requirements (incidents, corrective actions, continuous improvement)
Program Management
- Drive process improvements and implement consistent EHS programs and policies
- Manage competing priorities with sound judgment in dynamic environments
- Ensure regulatory and company standards compliance
Communication & Engagement
- Coach teams on EHS requirements and communicate solutions professionally
- Interface with vendors and customers on safety/environmental concerns

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Science, or Technical field
- 10+ years EHS leadership experience with health and safety focus in manufacturing/production
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and state/local EHS regulations
- Expertise in facility safety management, equipment build processes, and production operations
- Facility inspections, hazard assessments, and risk evaluations
- Wastewater treatment and neutralization compliance
- Traffic management and facility layout safety
- Secondary containment systems for hazmat storage (EPA/OSHA compliance)
- HAZOP facilitation and process hazard identification
- GHS compliance (classification, labeling, SDS management)
- Environmental permitting (air quality, NPDES, stormwater)
- Experience with incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Knowledge of industrial hygiene, occupational health hazards, and emergency response planning
- Ability to develop and implement comprehensive EHS programs and policies

Compensation - The salary range is tied to the market for similarly benchmarked roles. The range is not an absolute, but a guide, and offers will be based on the individual candidate’s knowledge, skills, experience, and market conditions, as well as internal peer equity. Depending upon all the preceding considerations for the final selected individual candidate, the offer may be lower or higher than the stated range: $100,000-$135,000 (USD); 100,000-135,000 (CAD) annually.
