Backed by industry leaders, including Ecolab (NYSE: ECL), Miso combines the stability of a proven commercial product with the technical depth and ambition of a company passionately innovating to solve foundational problems in robotics and restaurant operations.If you're excited by hard constraints, real customers, and the challenge of making software and machines perform reliably where failure isn't an option, you'll find meaningful problems to work on here.The RoleWe are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to help scale the hardware behind our next generation of intelligent kitchen automation.This is a hands-on role for someone who knows how to build and manage supply chains for complex hardware products in a fast-moving environment. You'll work at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and operations to ensure we have the right parts, suppliers, processes, and production capacity to take our robotic systems from engineering builds to reliable, repeatable production.We're particularly interested in people who have worked in robotics, aerospace, autonomous vehicles, advanced manufacturing, or other complex hardware environments, especially those who have helped a startup navigate the transition from prototype and NPI into scaled production.You should be equally comfortable digging into a BOM with an engineer, negotiating with a critical supplier, resolving a shortage, challenging a quote, and building the systems and processes that prevent the next fire before it starts.What You'll DoOwn supply chain strategy and execution across Miso's robotic hardware products, from development and NPI through production and deployment.Manage sourcing, procurement, material planning, inventory, logistics, and supplier performance across a complex electromechanical BOM.Partner closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, and Operations to translate product and production plans into actionable supply requirements.Develop and manage strategic suppliers and contract manufacturing partners across mechanical, electrical, fabricated, machined, and off-the-shelf components.Lead supplier selection, RFQs, negotiations, contracting, and ongoing supplier performance management.Identify and mitigate supply risks including long lead times, single-source components, capacity constraints, quality issues, and obsolescence.Drive cost-down and value-engineering initiatives in partnership with engineering without compromising product quality or reliability.Support NPI builds, engineering changes, BOM releases, production ramps, and transitions from prototype to repeatable manufacturing.Establish appropriate inventory strategies, safety stocks, reorder points, and material planning processes as production volumes grow.Build and track meaningful supply chain KPIs around cost, quality, delivery, inventory, lead time, and supplier performance.Improve the systems, tools, and processes Miso uses to plan and manage its supply chain, including effective utilization of NetSuite and related systems.Solve problems quickly. We're a hardware startup, and sometimes the job is building a strategic sourcing roadmap; other times it's figuring out how to get a critical component into the building by Friday.What We're Looking For5+ years of supply chain, sourcing, procurement, or manufacturing operations experience involving complex physical products.Meaningful experience in robotics, aerospace, autonomous vehicles, industrial automation, advanced manufacturing, or another hardware-intensive industry strongly preferred.Experience operating in a startup, high-growth company, or similarly fast-moving hardware environment where processes are still being built and priorities evolve quickly.Demonstrated experience taking hardware through NPI and into production.Strong understanding of BOM management, material planning, procurement, inventory management, supplier quality, and manufacturing lead times.Experience sourcing complex electromechanical components, fabricated parts, electronics, motors, sensors, or similar hardware.Proven ability to develop suppliers, negotiate effectively, reduce costs, and resolve supply constraints.Strong analytical instincts and the ability to make good decisions with imperfect information.Experience partnering directly with engineers on sourcing decisions, design changes, DFM, value engineering, and component selection.Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/MRP systems.A bias toward action and a willingness to operate at both the strategic and tactical level.Excellent communication skills and the ability to build productive relationships internally and externally.Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, Operations, or a related field preferred.APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar certification is a plus.Ability to work onsite in Pasadena, California.Who Thrives at MisoYou'll probably enjoy this role if you like building more than maintaining.We're looking for someone who sees an immature process and wants to improve it, who understands that hardware development rarely moves in a perfectly straight line, and who can bring structure and discipline without creating unnecessary bureaucracy.The right person can think strategically about where our supply chain needs to be a year from now while remaining willing to jump into the details necessary to keep production moving today.Compensation$120,000–$140,000 per year + Equity + BenefitsThe stated compensation range reflects the targeted base salary range for candidates residing in the Los Angeles Metro area and does not include additional compensation or benefits.
