Job Title: Feed-In Operator
Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Statesville, NC

Pay: $14.50 per hour

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 4:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Feed-In Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating the feed-in equipment to maintain a smooth and continuous flow of rolls through the production process. This role requires strong attention to detail, commitment to quality, and the ability to follow safety procedures while working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operate the feed-in equipment to maintain a continuous and even flow of materials throughout the production process

· Ensure logs are properly taped together and verify that tape is sealing correctly

· Monitor material flow and make adjustments as needed to support production efficiency

· Mark the first peeled log of each type and thickness after material changes to inform operators downstream

· Visually inspect materials for defects and remove defective products for recycling

· Collect scrap materials and place them on the conveyor for recycling

· Maintain assigned work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition

· Follow all safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting techniques, machine guarding, conveyor safety, forklift safety, Lockout/Tagout procedures, and fire safety guidelines

· Use required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and approved footwear

· Identify and report product quality issues or concerns

· Assist with other production duties and support other departments as needed

· Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Required Qualifications:

· Previous manufacturing or production experience preferred

· Ability to operate machinery and follow production procedures

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

· Ability to identify product defects and follow quality standards

· Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift

· Ability to follow written and verbal instructions

· Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow company policies

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience operating manufacturing equipment

· Experience in a production line environment

· Knowledge of workplace safety procedures and OSHA standards

· Experience with material handling or recycling processes

· Ability to learn and perform multiple production tasks
