Chief Architect (System Architecting, Requirements & Interfaces) Company: The Boeing Company Location: Richardson, TX (100% onsite) The P-8A Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Special Projects Dallas (SPD) team invites applications for a Chief Architect to develop next‑generation Mission Systems architectures, requirements, interfaces, and behaviors using open architectures. The selected candidate will lead cross‑functional agile teams, conduct engineering reviews, own system architecture structure and design, and manage sensor integration while ensuring compatibility across physical, functional, and program interfaces. Position Responsibilities Lead activities to plan, design, develop, and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and solutions. Evaluate customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements and integrate technical parameters. Ensure compatibility of all physical, functional, and program interfaces. Develop solutions that meet Open Mission Systems Architecture requirements. Collaborate with customers to confirm that needs, requirements, and commitments are being met. Present to internal and external stakeholders with appropriate detail for the audience. Support analyses to drive improvements in architecture or requirements definition. Support cross‑Boeing program mission systems interchanges for maximum leverage and reuse. Basic Qualifications (Required) Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent. 10+ years of experience in Mission Systems development. 10+ years of technical leadership experience with engineering teams. 10+ years of experience defining system architectures. Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship required; clearance must be active within the past 24 months). Preferred Qualifications (Desired) Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in avionics, open architecture, and/or electronics systems development. Knowledge of radar, fusion, multi‑level security architecture, and mission systems integration. Security Clearance Active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance is required (or must be obtained within the first 90 days of employment). A U.S. person (citizen, national, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) is required. Pay & Benefits The total rewards package includes competitive base pay, variable compensation opportunities, health insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, retirement, life and disability insurance, paid and unpaid time off, and other benefits.
