Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of recent experience in specialty License: Registered Nurse license (State of Alabama or Compact license) Certifications: AHA BLS, OR Red Cross certifications preferred, ACLS Must-Have: Willingness to float to other units/hospitals, available for holidays as required, available every other weekend Description: This position involves working in an acute care setting within a medical-surgical telemetry unit. Nurses are required to float to other units/hospitals as necessary. Candidates must be willing to work holidays as required and be available every other weekend. The position offers a choice of 36 or 48 hours per week. Nurses will be working with a patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6. An associate degree in nursing is required for this position. Candidates must have a minimum of 1 year of recent experience in the specialty area. While 2 years of experience in the specialty is preferred, candidates with 18 months of experience will be considered if they have worked under the highest level of professional license. The role is clinical in nature. Solid navy scrubs are required as the dress code. Candidates must be prepared to manage a variety of patient care needs effectively. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong clinical skills and teamwork.
