Machine Operator (Night Shift)

Worthington Samuel Coil Processing (WSCP), a joint venture of Worthington Steel, is hiring Machine Operators to join our production team in Twinsburg, OH, with opportunities available on both day and night shifts. We offer on‑job training and no prior steel experience is required. Employees will work a non‑rotating 12‑hour shift following a 2‑2‑3 bi‑weekly pattern (6 AM–6 PM or 6 PM–6 AM). We’re looking for self‑motivated problem solvers with a strong work ethic and drive. Responsibilities Operate exit, entry, and set‑up tasks to ensure ongoing machine operation. Package, weigh, and load/unload material, and stage material. Perform miscellaneous tasks throughout the plant to ensure safe, efficient, and quality production of materials. Desired Experience Ability to perform repetitive, physically demanding work; stand for up to 12 hours; maintain full mobility and manual dexterity in a non‑climate‑controlled environment (heat/cold exposure); lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail with ability to retain and apply instructions. Demonstrated reliability with a strong attendance record. Mechanical aptitude a plus. Basic math and computer skills. Ability to operate banding tools and read a tape measure. Recognize and detect quality issues. Read and comprehend detailed instructions in English. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Good oral and written communication skills. Sense of urgency; desire to work in a fast‑paced environment. Able to work 24/7 schedule, including weekend and holidays. Schedule The facility operates on a 24/7 schedule. This position requires a non‑rotating 12‑hour shift schedule (6 AM–6 PM or 6 PM–6 AM) following a 2‑2‑3 bi‑weekly pattern. Benefits Work/life balance with a non‑rotating 12‑hour shift: 16 days a month and every other weekend is a 3‑day weekend. $1,500 sign‑on bonus. Starting pay $20 per hour + $1.50 shift differential. Access to our generous benefits package on Day 1 (Medical, Dental, Vision). 401(k) – 3 % company contribution with no required employee contribution; additional 2 % match.
