We are excited to invite a dynamic Store Manager to lead our retail store at San Marcos Premium Outlets in San Marcos, Texas. This key leadership role is focused on delivering world-class customer service, driving sales, and building a motivated, high-performing team.
Position Overview:

As Store Manager, you will oversee all day-to-day operations of the store, ensuring we meet sales goals, deliver outstanding customer experiences, and run an efficient and profitable operation. You will inspire and develop your team, optimize store performance, and uphold the Spring Step brand values at every level.

Key Responsibilities:

Create a Positive Sales Culture

Build and maintain a team-oriented, high-performance environment that reflects Spring Step's brand values and commitment to customer service.

Drive Sales & Achieve Goals

Set and exceed sales targets, including overall revenue, footwear, accessories, and promotional initiatives.

Recruit & Develop Talent

Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and retention while developing a strong and engaged team.

Lead & Coach

Provide ongoing training, performance feedback, and development opportunities to help associates reach their full potential.

Manage Store Operations

Oversee merchandising, inventory management, visual presentation, compliance, and daily operations to maximize efficiency and profitability.

Enhance the Customer Experience

Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service that builds loyalty and encourages repeat business.

Financial Performance

Monitor store performance through P&L statements, KPIs, payroll, and expense management while implementing strategies to maximize profitability.

Loss Prevention & Risk Management

Ensure compliance with company policies, cash handling procedures, inventory controls, and loss prevention initiatives.

Champion Change & Company Initiatives

Lead company programs and operational initiatives while fostering continuous improvement and team engagement.

• Consistently meeting and exceeding sales goals through strong leadership and execution.
• Building and retaining a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Maintaining efficient staffing and scheduling aligned with business needs.
• Managing expenses while maximizing store profitability.
• Delivering exceptional customer experiences that drive repeat business.
• Maintaining compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Previous retail management experience required; footwear or specialty retail experience preferred.
• 1-3 years of retail management experience, including at least 6 months leading a team.
• Proven ability to drive sales and achieve business objectives.
• Strong financial and analytical skills with experience reviewing P&L statements and key business metrics.
• Experience with POS systems and basic computer applications.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs., stand for extended periods, climb ladders, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
