Overview

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Pump Mechanics  for projects located in or around Dallas, NC .  This is a first shift opportunity and the pay rate is $26-$30/hour based on experience and skill level.  If you are a Pump Mechanic and want to work alongside other proven craftsmen who emphasize safety, productivity and superior craftsmanship, this is your chance to advance your career! 

Job Scope:

• Diagnose mechanical failures on industrial pumps and rotating equipment
• Inspect, disassemble, clean, rebuild, and reassemble pumps and related equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and complete pump overhauls
• Install, align, and commission new pumping equipment
• Read and interpret equipment drawings, manuals, and repair documentation
• Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate service records
• Recommend repair options and replacement parts
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members
• Assist with field service assignments as needed

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED 
• Minimum of 2 years of experience repairing industrial pumps or rotating equipment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and shop equipment
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly
• Stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and climb throughout the workday
• Work safely in shop and industrial plant environments
• Comfortable working around machinery, noise, heat, cold, and dusty conditions
• Ability to safely operate forklifts (training provided if needed)

• Air-Operated Double Diaphragm (AODD) Pumps
• Positive Displacement Pumps
• Rotary Lobe Pumps
• Gear Pumps
• Vacuum Pumps
• Mechanical Seal and Bearing Installation
• Laser Alignment Equipment
• Vibration Analysis and Predictive Maintenance
• Industrial Maintenance, Millwright, or Rotating Equipment Repair
