Gogo Shipping SpecialistThe Gogo Shipping Specialist effectively manages the daily shipment requirements for the company and conducts look-ahead order reviews to meet both customer dock dates and site's on-time-to request (OTTR) targets. You will pack and stock Finished Goods with particular attention to product preservation.Are you someone who is focused on continuous improvement and wants to make an impact?COME ON BOARD THE GOGO MATERIALS & LOGISTICS TEAM!How will you make a difference?Prepare packages for shipments by validating and prepping contents, creating box labels, and confirming that all accompanying certificates and forms are accurateResponsible for shipping and tracking domestic and international shipments to ensure customer requested delivery dates are metSelect the appropriate approved carrier and service level for each shipmentRegularly use FedEx Shipping Manager, UPS, DHL, and freight forwarder portalsCreate customs documentation such as the ACE/AES export filing, commercial invoices, and waybillsMonitor and maintain appropriate levels of packing and shipping suppliesEnsure product preservation requirements are met. This includes applying safe handling techniques and following ESD and FOD protocols as applicableFacilitate and champion continuous improvement activities. This includes the regular maintenance and review of applicable work InstructionsProvide back-up and assistance to Receiving/Material Handling: cycle counts, kitting, receiving as neededSupport internal customers with shipping and logistical consulting, as requiredParticipate in internal and external auditsQualifications2+ years of experience in the fieldHigh school diploma or equivalent work experienceOccasional availability to handle emergency shipments which may involve coming in after hours or staying late on short notice to ensure timely deliveryRequired Skills, Talents, & ExperienceExperience with the ACE portal, commercial invoices, and waybillsKnowledge of export compliance/regulationsExperience with ESD (electrostatic discharge) and FOD (foreign object damage/debris) philosophiesGeneral understanding of inventory managementPreferred Skills, Talents, & ExperienceKnowledge of FAA 8130's and Certificates of ConformanceExperience in an Aerospace manufacturing environmentStrong communication skillsAttention to detailProblem solvingEqual Pay Disclosure(s)Base Pay: 21.73 - 27.16 USD HourlyTarget Annual Short-Term Incentive: Bonus Plan at 5% (% of Annualized Base Pay)Eligible for Incentive Stock Program: YesBenefits: Gogo offers competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision coverage with plans that can fit each employee's needs.
