H 2 O Innovation – Water & Wastewater Project Manager H 2 O Innovation is seeking a Water & Wastewater Project Manager for its newly constructed, state‑of‑the‑art Water Reuse Facility located at a corporate campus in Austin, TX. This position works under the supervision of the Area Manager of WaterHub® Operations and will oversee the administration, operation, and maintenance of the WaterHub® water reuse project. The Manager will manage and be responsible for the operation, maintenance and repair of various pumps, motors, and piping, as well as the plant’s process equipment such as membrane bioreactors (MBRs), reverse osmosis (RO), rotary screens, blowers, hydroponic reactors, and ultraviolet disinfection. This position will include plant supervision, performing short and long‑range planning, plant budgets and monthly reports. Duties will also include managing capital improvement projects. You will help ensure that the plant is adequately staffed with qualified personnel to achieve the group’s targets and production objectives. The facility is new, highly automated, and highly complex. You will manage the project to continue and enhance H 2 O Innovation’s goals within their decentralized water reuse projects. The Benefits Yearly bonus; Health Insurance, Dental, Vision & Telemedicine Health Savings Account Life Insurance 401K plan with employer's contribution; Paid Vacation & Sick Days The Day-to-Day Plan, organize, supervise, and schedule resources to meet program and production goals; Analyze, develop, revise, and improve scheduling, standards, and procurement methods; Conduct studies, analyze data, and prepare reports of findings and recommendations; Formulate and administer budgets; Develop work-related Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); Modify work assignments of employees in accordance with plant needs; Formulate, interpret, enforce, and apply policies and regulatory requirements controlling plant processes; Recommend staffing levels and equipment purchase and replacement; Analytical and problem‑solving skills; Develop plant‑specific safety programs; Advise and consult with direct reports on policy‑level and technical aspects of assigned agenda; Facilitate staff meetings and attend appropriate meetings; Develop and implement emergency management guidelines to effectively deal with WWT problems, power outages, flooding, and other factors that could impact public health, safety and or environmental quality; On‑call for afterhours, remote response to process alarms; Coordinate plant safety and security needs; Assist with the coordination of Capital Improvement Projects to upgrade and/or expand plant facilities; Conduct specialized tours for visitors and VIPs of our unique plant; Maintain excellent working relationships with host site personnel; Frequent public contact by telephone and in person; Frequent participation in meetings; Hands‑on operations and maintenance (working manager); Vendor contact and interaction. The Skills We Are Looking For Bachelors in Environmental Studies, Biology, Chemistry, Physical Sciences, Engineering, or related degree preferred; Heavy background in maintenance of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic equipment (i.e.: control panels, MBRs, PLCs, VFDs, submersible pumps, lift systems, equipment rigging, motor and bearing replacement, etc.); Certification Desired: State of Texas, Class 1/A Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator license or another state’s equivalent, or ability to gain licensing as required by the regulatory authority; Five plus years supervising personnel in management, operations, or maintenance of an advanced wastewater treatment plant; Computer and office equipment skills; Public relations and customer service skills; Verbal and written skills, including report writing; Accounting, budgeting, and record‑keeping skills; Knowledge of management and leadership principles, organization, and work scheduling; Knowledge of principles, practices, equipment, materials, and standards involved in the operations, maintenance, and management of wastewater treatment (WWT) systems; Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record; Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to assume responsibility; Requires expert level mechanical/electrical skills; Must possess the ability to read and interpret maps, blueprints, schematics, and O&M manuals, etc.; Must be versed in verbal and written communication skills to convey information to co‑workers, equipment vendors, consultants, contractors, and the general public; Ability to operate motor vehicles; The ability to assist in the start‑up and commissioning of new facilities; Knowledge of laboratory best practices and safety procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
