Communications Associate

Lilette Advisors is seeking a Communications Associate to join our dynamic team. In this versatile role, you will support a variety of communications and public affairs strategies for our diverse clients. As a Communications Associate, you will be responsible for producing original content, assisting with media outreach, and managing social media strategies. You will also collaborate on strategic communication planning and client deliverables while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Our team combines decades of experience in the boardroom, political campaigns, the White House, Capitol Hill, and state and local government. Key Responsibilities Communications & Public Affairs Support: Assist with the development and execution of strategic communication plans for clients. Produce and manage content for client communications, including op-eds, press releases, media statements, and social media posts. Create and implement social media strategies, ensuring alignment with client objectives. Write for a variety of formats, including talking points, presentations, analyses, and creative materials. Conduct proactive and reactive media outreach and prepare regular reports on communication efforts including clips and other metric tracking. Monitor media coverage and track emerging issues relevant to client interests. Assist with internal communication needs, ensuring clear and effective communication across the team. Digital Communications Support: Support digital communications across social media, email, web, and paid media channels. Develop and adapt content for digital audiences, including social posts, email, website, and campaign materials. Coordinate digital campaigns and content calendars, working with internal teams, vendors, and creative partners to ensure timely execution. Maintain digital platforms, including websites, landing pages, email lists, and related tools and assets. Monitor digital performance and use analytics to inform content, audience engagement, and campaign strategy. Support rapid-response communications, announcements, events, and other initiatives requiring timely digital execution. Client Service & Research Support: Provide support to client teams in the preparation of client-facing deliverables and reports. Collaborate with senior team members to draft presentations, plans, and briefs. Analyze news, data and insights to inform strategy and decision-making for clients. Respond to client requests in a timely manner. Project Management & Administrative Support: Coordinate logistics for client meetings and ensure all materials are prepared and on time. Provide administrative support to the client team, including organizing files, scanning documents, and managing communication workflows. Assist with scheduling and ensuring that all project deadlines are met. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Policy, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field. Proven ability to write, edit, and produce persuasive content, including op-eds, press releases, presentations, and research documents. Demonstrated experience in managing social media content and developing social media strategies. Strong project management skills, with the ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and meet deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to generate professional and engaging policy content. Highly organized, flexible, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, Cision, and relevant subscription-based research tools. A self-motivated, detail-oriented individual who can work both independently and collaboratively. Salary: $50,000–$75,000 (commensurate with experience).
