Role Purpose

Lead the business-side data migration preparation stream for Zenius. The role owns assessment, profiling, cleansing coordination, mapping workshops, transformation rules, and business validation support, while Fluxx retains ownership of technical loading and platform migration execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess legacy data sources, structures, quality conditions, business usage, retention needs, and migration readiness for the current on-premises IG16/SQL Server environment.

• Plan and facilitate data mapping workshops with TxDOT SMEs and Fluxx migration resources.

• Define business data cleansing rules for duplicates, incomplete records, invalid values, inconsistent formats, orphaned records, and obsolete data.

• Coordinate extraction and transformation preparation activities and ensure source files meet agreed templates, formats, and submission deadlines.

• Document source-to-target mappings, transformation logic, default values, reference data crosswalks, exclusions, assumptions, and unresolved decisions.

• Support classification of active and historical records in accordance with TxDOT retention and business requirements.

• Coordinate business review of migrated data through quantitative reconciliation and qualitative validation.

• Track data defects, cleansing progress, mapping decisions, validation results, and remediation actions across migration cycles.

• Collaborate with the Lead Business Analyst, Fluxx migration team, TxDOT data owners, and UAT resources to ensure migrated data supports end-to-end business scenarios.

• Prepare business-side migration readiness and post-migration assessment inputs.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, data management, business, computer science, or related field, or equivalent experience.

• At least 5 years of data analysis, data conversion, data quality, or migration experience, including at least 3 years supporting enterprise application implementations.

• Experience profiling and cleansing relational database data and large document/attachment repositories.

• Advanced proficiency with SQL, Excel, data mapping, reconciliation, and issue tracking tools.

• Experience facilitating business mapping and validation workshops with data owners and SMEs.

• Ability to communicate technical data issues in clear business terms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SQL Server and grants or contract management data.

• Experience with large-scale migrations involving tens of millions of records and mixed-format attachments.

• Data management, data quality, DAMA, or related certification.

• Experience with Fluxx or Agate/Intelligrants data structures.

Working Relationships

Reports operationally through the Zenius delivery organization and works day to day with the Fluxx Project Manager, TxDOT project leadership, TxDOT subject matter experts, and other Fluxx and Zenius workstream leads. The role must follow the agreed communication, governance, escalation, confidentiality, and security processes for the engagement.
