Is responsible for leading and directing all maintenance team activities, development and adherence to preventative maintenance plans, managing departmental budget, and providing a collaborative approach to excellence in safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence activities.Primary Responsibilities Include:Provides safety leadership within the maintenance team, including development of new safety policies and procedures to support world-class practices.Supports defined safety regulations, ensuring compliance with relevant standardsProvides strong leadership and mentorship of the maintenance team, by striving for excellence.Exhibits strong organizational skills and the ability to sustainAssists in the hiring, training, and supervision of maintenance staff, providing guidance, and fosters a positive, employee-centric work environmentSupervises daily maintenance tasks, schedules repairs, and ensures all production equipment is in good working orderCreates and implements preventative maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of assetsResponsible for diagnosing and resolving equipment malfunctions, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.Supports control of maintenance expenditures.Controls and monitors critical component inventory for machinery in ERP system to minimize plant downtime, understands how to evaluate the need for on hand inventory.Conducts risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.Troubleshoots and diagnoses a wide variety of machine malfunctionsCoordinates and provides oversight of maintenance work performed by outside contractors.Supports facilities to ensure all company vehicles are clean, fueled and in proper working order.Sources required parts and materials for repairs on projects and maintains positive relationships with suppliers.Essential Skills and Qualifications:Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams, provides guidance, and fosters a positive work environmentStrong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel, as well as with key stakeholdersStrong 5S, housekeeping skills that align with world-class maintenance programsStrong technical knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systemsAbility to interpret blueprints, specifications, ladder diagrams, logic, and schematicsStrong problem solving and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues, analyze data, and make informed decisionsBudget management skills, including the ability to manage financial budgets, track project expenditures, and identify cost saving solutionsProvides a minimum of 2 years' experience in a manufacturing Maintenance Supervision role managing a multiple personnel teamUnderstands the principles and tools of Operational Excellence, previous experience preferredProficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), previous ERP experience preferredSupports ISO 9001 Quality, ISO 14001 Environmental, and OSHA 18801 certification requirementsAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-shift environmentMaintains strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersPreferred experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) condition and predictive failure monitoring, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) tools, and Operational Excellence (Lean) methodologiesDirect knowledge and experience with control software, including PLC logic programmingDirect knowledge and experience with electrical ladder logic (Development, Modification, Troubleshooting)Direct knowledge and experience with electrical code requirements (NEC), including main electrical switchgear repair and arc flash requirements.Working knowledge of Robotics (Servo / End Coders) is preferredCommitted to being a good steward of GFCP policies and values.Environmental / Atmospheric Conditions:Typical office/factory environment with exposure to ambient temperatures in un-conditioned production areasExposure to general production machine noise levelsExposure to hazards such as electrical and moving mechanical partsWorking Conditions / Physical Requirements:Standing, walking, sitting, reaching, grasping, feeling, walking, and hearingRequires some overhead lifting of up to 40 pounds objects (boxes, trash bags, odd shaped items, equipment components, etc.)Required to lift 50 pounds and move odd-shaped objects (desks, tables, etc.)Required to work a 40-hour work week, with overtime as required to support plant operationsContact person: Angela Trotter Generalist Human Resources View email address on click.appcast.io
