Commercial Lender

Overview Glenwood State Bank is a family owned, community bank that is looking for a Commercial Lender. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining strong, long-term relationships primarily with commercial customers, analyzing financial information, and assessing loan risk. Our Commercial Lenders work closely with customers to understand their goals and provide customized lending solutions to meet the needs of businesses. This position will actively engage in community events and initiatives to build connections and represent the bank; and stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and new financial products related to commercial lending. This position offers a hybrid/remote work arrangement, with regular on-site presence expected at our Alexandria location. Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships primarily with commercial customers, analyze financial information, and assess loan risk. Work with customers to understand goals and provide customized lending solutions to meet business needs. Engage in community events and initiatives to build connections and represent the bank. Stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and new financial products related to commercial lending. Qualifications 10+ years of experience in commercial loan portfolio management, including understanding of financial statements, credit risk, and loan structuring. Experience with SBA lending is a plus. Ability to mentor teammates and foster a collaborative environment for the continued development of the commercial lending team.
