Job Title: Speech / Language Pathologist Per teacher salary schedule.

Location: School building assigned Work year to be established by the Board of Education

Reports To: Director of Special Education

Evaluation: In accordance with the provisions of the Board of Education's policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.

Qualifications: Job Goal: Provide speech and language evaluations and develop and provide appropriate speech and language services to eligible students.

1. Professional Educator License with Provide speech and language endorsement as a Speech Pathologist.

2. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), plus not required.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain communication with parents and staff, and through email, phone, and meetings.
• Responds to referrals and develops appropriate evaluation / screening plans based on relevant speech and language concerns.
• Administers and interprets evaluation / screening instruments including input from appropriate team members.
• Determines eligibility for speech and language impairment based on the district's eligibility criteria.
• Formulates a diagnostic plan for therapy services to meet the needs of students in the school-based program.
• Manages time, facilities, and resources to facilitate the delivery of services.
• Develops individual education programs.
• Develops and maintains a data collection system to monitor progress related to goals and objectives on the Individual Education Plan.
• Consults with school personnel and parents regarding the student's progress and program planning.
• Promotes effective interpersonal relations and engages in continuing professional growth activities.
• Completes and inputs all Embrace / DS Medicaid input.
• All other duties as assigned.
