Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic

Duties

Accomplish all repairs that can be made in the field and providing direction to equipment operators or others acting as helpers.

Regularly repair and modify the most complex vehicles and equipment, involving many complicated and varied systems.

Use a variety of electronic test equipment to troubleshoot special problems.

Perform mechanical maintenance, overhaul, and repair of a variety of launches and towboats.

Operate a diesel tandem tractor with 13-speed transmission and various trailers in the absence of the primary operator.

Performs repair of gasoline and diesel equipment in the field.
