Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – New York

Start Date: October 26, 2026

Location: Central New York

Schedule: 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM shift. Block scheduling is not guaranteed. Floating to other units may be required.

Highlights:

• 64-bed Emergency Department including acute care, trauma, triage, super track, clinical decision unit, and psychiatric areas
• Full-spectrum patient population: newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric care
• Epic EMR system utilized facility-wide
• Common case mix includes stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Specialty equipment experience includes Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun therapeutic temperature management
• Charge nurse capability highly preferred

Requirements:

• Active New York Registered Nurse license (verified through NURSYS)
• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department experience with pediatric patient exposure
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC certifications required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Proficiency with critical drips and medications including pressors (Levophed, Neosynephrine, Epinephrine, Vasopressin, Dobutamine, Dopamine), vasodilators (Cleviprex, Cardene, Nitroglycerin), anti-arrhythmics (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Lidocaine), sedation medications (Precedex, Propofol, Fentanyl), as well as TNK, Heparin, and Insulin
• Must reside 75+ miles from facility to qualify for travel rates
• Valid driver's license with current address matching submission demographics
• Completion of specialty-specific skills checklist required
• Time-off requests must be submitted at time of application
