POSITION SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Surveillance Supervisor directs and supervises the overall operations of the surveillance department on an assigned shift.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Has the ability to perform all functions of supervised positions.
2. Counsels, guides and instructs all operators on an assigned shift in the proper performance of their duties, maintaining adherence to policies and procedures
3. Observes and assures that assigned shift personnel observe action on all Pit and slot games as well as activities in the soft count, hard counts coin room and all other areas in an effective manner.
4. Creates and submits a daily summary of activities occurred during a shift
5. Is familiar with the current list of undesirables maintained by the Surveillance Manager and remains alert for their presence in the Casino and reporting their presence to the Surveillance Manager.
6. Develops a thorough knowledge of cheating methods, card-counting systems and conveys this knowledge to assigned personnel to assure effective observation in all areas.
7. Observes performance of employees in all areas relative to good customer relations, courtesy and service and adherence to department procedures.
8. Safeguards all confidential information and assures assigned personnel do not discuss the activities of the department with others
9. Recommends changes on assigned shift, including hiring, promotion, demotion and termination of personnel, assist in preparation and administration of periodic performance appraisals and recommend wage changes for personnel within established limits.
10. Maintains knowledge of all events in the property as a whole.
11. Attends and/or facilitates all mandatory meetings and training.
12. Maintains confidentiality at all times.
13. Is sensitive to Native American Culture.
14. Operates within the parameters of the Leech Lake Gaming Human Resource Policy, Departmental Policy Manual and all Tribal Internal Controls (TICs), and all other applicable regulations.
15. Secures the assets of Leech Lake Gaming and the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe.
16. Performs other duties as assigned.
