ClarksonVFW Post 12175 Veterans of Foreign Wars of is seeking a Security Staff member to help maintain a safe, welcoming environment for members, guests, and visitors.

The Security Staff role is responsible for monitoring the premises and supporting day-to-day safety through visible, professional presence and attentive observation. This position helps deter risks, assists when incidents arise, and ensures policies and procedures are followed consistently.

You will play an important role in maintaining order, responding appropriately to unusual activity, and providing courteous support to people on-site while escalating concerns to the appropriate point of contact.

• Monitor assigned areas to identify safety and security risks, suspicious activity, or violations of established rules.

• Maintain a visible security presence and perform routine addition duties as assigned.

• Respond to incidents and inquiries professionally, following established escalation procedures.

• Control access to designated areas when applicable, ensuring only authorized individuals enter restricted spaces.

• Document and report incidents, observations, and relevant events accurately and in a timely manner.

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift a maximum of 50 pounds.

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to observe, assess, and report concerns clearly.

• Professional, calm, and respectful communication skills with the public and colleagues.

• Reliability and willingness to follow policies, procedures, and work schedules.

• Comfort handling confidential or sensitive situations appropriately.

• Ability to handle cash and working in a gaming environment.
