Senior Financial Analyst

Location: 10: Star - 1601 McGee St. Kansas City, MO 64108 Reports To: VP of Finance Status: Full-time, Exempt Travel Required: No We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support the financial planning, development, and financing of a growing portfolio of data center developments. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models used to support construction financing and internal decision-making, overseeing project development budgets, forecasting project cash flows, and providing FP&A support across multiple active developments. The ideal candidate has projects and will work closely with Development, Construction, Accounting, and executive leadership. Responsibilities Develop and maintain project-level financial models supporting construction financing and internal decision-making. Prepare and update sources and uses, project cash flow forecasts, draw schedules, financing analyses, and project return models. Perform sensitivity analyses related to construction costs, financing assumptions, lease commencement dates, and operating assumptions. Update financial models as project scope, budgets, schedules, and financing assumptions evolve. Development Budget Management Own the financial oversight of development budgets from acquisition through project completion. Monitor actual costs against approved budgets and identify cost variances. Forecast remaining project costs and total cost at completion. Assist with contractor draw packages, lender funding requests, and capital deployment FP&A and Forecasting Prepare project-level and consolidated cash flow forecasts. Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts for development activities. Monitor capital expenditures, project liquidity, and financing requirements. Prepare monthly financial reporting packages for executive leadership. Support construction loan closings by preparing financial analyses and lender-required Coordinate financial information required for lender reporting and draw requests. Monitor loan proceeds, funding availability, and project cash requirements. Strategic Financial Analysis Evaluate development decisions, scope changes, and capital allocation opportunities. Analyze project performance against underwriting assumptions. Provide ad hoc financial analyses to support executive decision-making. Required Qualifications Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Economics, or related field. 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate development, construction finance, development FP&A, or project finance. Strong understanding of project economics, including development costs, operating cash flows, financing structures, debt service, returns, and valuation Understanding of debt financing, construction financing, project finance, refinancing, and other capital structures Experience developing and analyzing sources and uses, construction draw schedules, debt schedules, and long term cash flow forecasts Ability to perform scenario, sensitivity, and downside analysis around key development assumptions Experience managing the financial aspects of ground-up commercial real estate developments. Advanced Excel financial modeling skills. Strong understanding of construction budgets, project cash flows, capital expenditures, and construction lending. Preferred Qualifications development, infrastructure, or another capital intensive industry Experience underwriting projects with significant construction and development costs Experience evaluating customer contracts, lease economics, pricing structures, escalators, and other commercial terms Familiarity with data center economics, including MW based development costs, power costs, utilization, deployment schedules, and revenue per MW or kW Experience supporting lender or investor due diligence and preparing materials for Experience working cross functionally with development, construction, operations, finance, legal, and commercial teams Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 50% of the time. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Ability to regularly stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard and other equipment for extended periods of time based on job responsibilities.
