Field Service Technician (Milwaukee/Madison/Green Bay area)

Job Summary Bartelt Packaging, a ProMach company, is seeking a Field Service Technician to travel within the Milwaukee/Madison/Green Bay area to repair, maintain, and start‑up specified equipment. The Technician communicates between customers and the company, provides quality customer service, and results in high‑level technical skill and independent problem‑solving. Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to install, integrate, repair, and troubleshoot flexible packaging machinery. Ensure all inspections, testing, quality, and operating specifications are met. Direct or oversee customer personnel during machinery installations, integrations, or servicing. Provide on‑site customization of machine programs and revise programs to meet customer needs. Maintain a 24‑hour on‑call status and deliver technical telephone support when required. Support factory floor operations when not providing customer field service support. Train customer personnel on equipment operation and service. Assist customers with aftermarket parts needs while in the field. Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 3 years of experience in machinery repair. Knowledge of mechanical principles and willingness to travel extensively in the U.S. and occasionally internationally. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer‑service focus. Proficiency with Windows and MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent customer‑service skills and ability to train customer personnel. Preferred: experience with flexible packaging machinery, PLC programming, and familiarity with PLC/PC systems.
