Remote Emergency Department Medical Coder

Certified Medical Coder – Outpatient & ED Work Arrangement: 100% Remote - Job Type: Contract " Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Weekend Requirement: Must be comfortable working one weekend day (Saturday or Sunday) We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Coder with strong Outpatient and Emergency Department (ED) coding experience. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of outpatient coding experience , including experience coding in an emergency room setting Minimum 3 - 5 years of outpatient medical coding experience . Emergency Room/ED coding experience required . Acute care coding experience. Proficiency with 3M Coding Application . Knowledge of HDS Coding Application . Knowledge of ICD-10, ICD-9-CM and CPT-4. Strong understanding of coding, payer, and federal billing guidelines. Strong computer skills. Ability to research and resolve coding issues. certification CCS CCP AHIMA RHIA RHIT High School Diploma/GED required. English proficiency required.
