Job Details Job Location: Lexington Country Club - Lexington, KY 40511 Position Type: Part Time Education Level: High School Travel Percentage: None Job Category: Customer Service THE CADDIE PROGRAM One of the most important values of Lexington Country Club is the establishment of an exceptional caddie program. The caddie program at LCC is run by the caddie master and head golf professional. The caddie master is responsible for the recruitment, training, and evaluation of all caddies. The membership evaluates the caddies after each round and their progress is closely tracked by the caddie master. TRAINING All new caddies are introduced to the golf course in a series of training sessions conducted by the caddie master. These sessions take place in groups and cover the necessities of caddying. Etiquette / Attitude / Work Ethic / Skill Upon completion of training, the new caddies will complete a shadow round with an Honor Caddie. It is here where the intricate details of their training are developed and shown in a real world setting. The new caddies learn by observing an experienced caddie, while the member can still enjoy his or her round of golf. CADDIE SKILLS B Caddie Keep pace with the golfer Keep clubs and golf ball clean Replace divots and rake bunkers Position self properly and remain quiet Handle player’s bag without issue Handle the flagstick appropriately A Caddie (in addition to B Caddie skills) Understand basic rules and etiquette Know yardages from permanent markers Good knowledge of golf course AA Caddie (in addition to A Caddie skills) General knowledge of greens Knowledge of all yardages Mentor to younger caddies Ability to carry two golf bags Honor Caddie (in addition to AA Caddie skills) Advanced knowledge of greens Handle two bags easily Leadership abilities Offer advice when requested Dress divot replacement with sand/seed Plays and enjoys the game of golf QUALIFICATIONS Be PROMPT (show up on-time when scheduled) Maintain a CLEAN appearance Be FRIENDLY and OUTGOING Be able to lift 30-40 lbs Be TEAM ORIENTED and ORGANIZED Be willing to learn and adapt to our Club's Culture #J-18808-Ljbffr Lexington Country Club
