Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across a variety of clinical settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams, and deliver high-quality respiratory therapy services to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform arterial blood gas (ABG) draws and analysis
• Assist in maintaining ABG analyzers and document all actions taken
• Set up and manage ventilators, BiPAP, and CPAP equipment
• Maintain accurate
• therapy documentation in the patient medical record
• Perform arterial line insertions

Clinical Patient Care

• Assess respiratory status using respiratory rate, heart rate, breath sounds, X-rays, work of breathing, and ABG results
• Set up, monitor, and adjust oxygen therapy in collaboration with physicians
• Administer aerosol therapies including small-volume and large-volume nebulizers and incentive spirometry
• Implement IPPB therapy
• Perform percussion and postural drainage
• Provide airway management and manual resuscitation
• Assist with intubations and EKG procedures
• Resource Management
• Monitor and restock respiratory therapy supplies and equipment
• Ensure oxygen equipment on crash carts, wheelchairs, and portable tanks is functional and ready for use

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred)
• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program
• CRT and/or RRT certification through the NBRC
• Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner in Arizona
• Current CPR certification (AHA Healthcare Provider or approved equivalent)
• Certifications (Required within 3 Months of Hire)
• NRP
• ACLS
• PALS
• Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Meditech or other electronic medical record systems
• Knowledge of computer systems, data management, and process design
• Experience supporting system application implementation
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Working Conditions

• Possible exposure to noise, radiation, chemicals, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases
