This role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care and leadership within a collaborative healthcare team. The nurse will support patients across all age groups, genders, and cultural backgrounds by assessing, planning, and coordinating individualized care plans. Providing both physical and psychosocial support to patients and their families is a key component of this position.

Key responsibilities include maintaining clinical competency and accurately identifying patient issues for infants through geriatrics. The nurse must recognize and respond to changes in patient conditions by adjusting care plans accordingly. Thorough assessments and critical thinking to interpret clinical data are essential. Effective communication with multidisciplinary healthcare teams is required. The nurse will develop, update, and validate individualized nursing care plans daily and as needed. Administering medications following pharmacy guidelines and manufacturer instructions is part of the role. Adherence to all policies and procedures, ensuring timely and accurate execution of physician orders, is mandatory. The nurse must prioritize patient care efficiently, managing stress with professionalism and flexibility. Managing equipment and supplies, maintaining a clean and organized department, and accurately charging for supplies and treatments are also responsibilities. Flexibility by working scheduled hours and accepting changes in assignments, which may include respiratory, physical, or occupational therapy support, is required.

Education and certifications include a graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Registered Nursing degree. A license as a Registered Nurse within the relevant state is necessary. BLS (CPR) certification required or to be obtained within three months of hire. ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications to be completed within one year; NRP not required for Surgical RN-Advanced roles. For Emergency Room specialization, completion of TNCC is necessary.
