Base pay range $60,000.00/yr - $75,000.00/yr The geotechnical department is seeking a candidate to support our growing team in the New York southern tier area (not New York City). This position may be entry level or up to an associate level. Salary is negotiable based on prior experience and may vary beyond the listed range after discussions with the supervisor and division director. Duties: Perform geotechnical field services, including subsurface exploration layouts, drilling, test pit inspections, geophysical surveys, and construction monitoring. Conduct visual classification and laboratory testing of soil samples collected during investigations. Prepare exploration logs for geotechnical evaluations and reports. Perform geotechnical evaluations and draft reports for senior review. Requirements: B.S. in civil engineering or related field. 0-3 years of experience in geotechnical engineering. Experience in a geotechnical laboratory is preferred but not required. Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is preferred but not required. Driver's license required. Willingness to perform out-of-town field work (~40%). Ability to lift 50 pounds. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated with a high capacity for work. Ability to apply engineering principles to various geotechnical projects. Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 The specific salary offered depends on experience, education, and work location.
